A New Word – Kaizen

Anyone who knows me knows that I love words and I am absolutely thrilled when I find a new, useful word.  This happened yesterday.  It’s a Japanese word – Kaizen.  It means “gradual and orderly continuous improvement.”  WOW!  What a meaning.

Is this you?  Is it me?  I want it to be true.  So many times, I get up, check my email, and I’m off to the races…putting out fires all day.  At the end of the day, I haven’t done the “gradual and orderly things” to produce continual improvement in my life.

My company, www.BusinessTrainingTeam.com has just launched a new product to help people new to blogging get started.  We call it the “30-30 Blogging Plan.”  It’s the perfect application of the word Kaizen.  We ask that you give 30 minutes a day for 30 days to learn a new skill that will open new doors for you personally and professionally.  We give you daily instruction, daily assignments that are not overwhelming…it’s truly Kaizen — a “gradual and orderly” process.
